PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bending of longitudinal end sections of an absorbent article. SOLUTION: A main unit 2 of the absorbent article 1 comprises an absorbent core 22 which is an absorbing medium, a top sheet 21 covering a main face of the absorbent core 22 on the wearer side, and a back sheet 23 covering the other main face of the absorbent core 22. In the absorbent article 1, the longitudinal length of the absorbent core 22 is≥40 cm and≤70 cm, and corners of core side end sections 221 located on the both longitudinal end sections and on both the width sides of the absorbent core 22 are removed. By doing so, when the absorbent article 1 is put on a disposable diaper and is worn on the body, each core side end section 221 of the absorbent core 22 is no longer dragged and bent by the body of the wearer or twisted by friction with the skin of the wearer. Consequently, pulling of the longitudinal end sections of the absorbent article 1 by the bent or twisted core side end sections 221 no longer happens, and bending of the longitudinal end sections of the absorbent article is prevented.
