A connector (10) for sterile connections, with (a) a fluid duct (32), (b) a catch (14, 22) engaging with a complementary catch (16, 24) on another connector (12), (c) a slider (26) with a flat face (30) and a hole (60) passing through it to connect with the duct (32), in which, after fitting the catches (14, 22; 16, 24) together, the slider (26) moves the connectors (10; 12) relative to one another in a direction (40) parallel to (30), and (d) a sterile cover (20, 74), at least for the opening (60). An independent claim is included for a connector system for the fluid-tight connection of the fluid feeds to complementary connectors (10, 12) as described above.
