摘要 <p>The inventive valve-timing mechanism relates to engine-building engineering and comprises a common intake-exhaust valve provided with supply channels comprising shutters which are arranged therein and embodied such that they are automatically openable by a pressure difference due to the shift of the axis of rotation thereof with respect to the symmetry axes thereof. Said shutters are used for dividing the intake and exhaust processes and form three separated cavities: 1) an intake channel, 2) an exhaust channel and 3) an overvalve cavity. During the intake stroke, the common valve and the intake channel shutter are simultaneously open (wherein, the exhaust channel shutter is closed) and the air (or a burning mixture.) admission is carried out. During the exhaust stroke, the common valve and the exhaust channel shutter are open (wherein, the intake channel shutter is closed) and waste gases are exhausted. The shutters are closable by return springs, openable by a pressure difference (optionally by electromagnets) and are fixed in the closed position by the engine electronic control system instruction. In order to reduce unbalanced inertial forces produced diring the shutter movements by the shift of the axis of rotation thereof, said shutters are provided with counterweights which are mounted thereon on the side towards which the axis of rotation is shifted with respec to the symmetry axis. Said counterweights make it possible to reduce vibrations and the wear and energy intensity of a drive, thereby increasing a cost-effectiveness.</p>
