<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens composition of a light-emitting diode device for a liquid crystal display which has high resistance to heat and high transparency, and also to provide a light-emitting diode device comprising the same, a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The lens composition comprises a copolymer, of which the weight-average molecular weight is 5,000 to 500,000 as shown by a chemical formula 1. In the formula, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are independently, a hydrogen atom, a chain, branch, a 1-10C annular alkyl group or a -COOR<SB>3</SB>group (R<SB>3</SB>is a chain, branch, or annular alkyl group of carbon number of 1 to 10), R<SB>4</SB>and R<SB>5</SB>are independently, a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of the carbon number of 1 or 10, n/(n+m) is 0.3 or 0.995, and m/(n+m) is 0.005 or 0.7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
