<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system that can reliably carry out all work without leaving unworked commodities in the selling price change work of commodities handled in a store. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes: a storage means for associating and storing a display place identifier attached to a display place, a price card identifier associated with each commodity, a commodity selling price and a commodity code; a work notification means for notifying the start and end of the work; a warning means for monitoring and warning work progress; a change indicating means for indicating a change of commodity information; a price card creation means for creating a price card by receiving a work end notification and acquiring the commodity information; and a decision indicating means for performing work progress decision and instructions based on the decision results by receiving the work end notification. In the work notification means, a work start notification is executed by the instructions of the administrator terminal used by an administrator.
