<p>Disclosed is a substituted ethynyl gold-nitrogenated heterocyclic carbene complex represented by the following general formula (1). In the above formula, L represents a nitrogenated heterocyclic carbene ligand; X represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or a heterocyclic group. In this connection, one or more hydrogen atoms on the carbon atom of X may be substituted by a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, a dialkylamino group, an acyl group or an arylcarbonyl group. When a plurality of hydrogen atoms on the carbon atom of X are substituted by an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, a dialkylamino group, an acyl group or an arylcarbonyl group, adjacent groups may combine together to form a ring. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a substituted ethynyl gold-nitrogenated heterocyclic carbene complex, and an organic electroluminescent device which contains such a substituted ethynyl gold-nitrogenated heterocyclic carbene complex in at least one layer of an organic compound thin film.</p> |
