<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing for an electrically-powered brake which has superior durability and noise characteristics at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: The thrust bearing supports load generated on a reduction gear 95 driving a ball screw shaft 98 which rotates to operate friction pads 63 and 64 in the electrically-powered brake 60. The thrust bearing has raceway disks which are used without grinding raceway surfaces of the raceway disks after applying quenching hardening, and the raceway disks are selected from a group of raceway disks which has a 40μm or less value adding three times of standard deviation for bending and waviness on an average value when measuring bending and waviness of the randomly sampled raceway disks among a group of a plurality of raceway disks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
