PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device which allows an operator to find reproduction information which the operator wants to view by viewing a representing portion of designated reproduction information recorded on a recording medium and has high convenience in terms of effectiveness in selecting the reproduction information. SOLUTION: In a reproducing device 11, a designation information recording means for recording the designation information for designating the representing portion in each of the reproduction information is arranged, and a reproducing means can be controlled so that the representing portion in each of the reproduction information is extracted to be reproduced by the reproduction control means based on the designation information recorded on the designation information recording means. This enables an operator to view and listen to the representing portion of the reproducing information, in other words, the portion which the operator knows well and to grasp each of the reproduction information clearly.
