PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply circuit with which electric power consumption is reduced, a liquid crystal display device, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The power supply circuit includes: a charge pump circuit which performs a charge pump operation, using the clock generated by a pulsed clock including periodically generated pulses and to which any of first to N-th potentials is supplied directly or via an adjusting mechanism; a means which stops the charge of a pumping capacitor included in a charge pump circuit and the charge of a backup capacitor by the pumping capacitor in the generation period of the pulsed clock; and a means which stops the operation of the charge pump by stopping the prescribed clock supplied to the charge pump circuit when a display off control signal of a liquid crystal panel is inputted.
