PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration detection device for an exhaust gas sensor accurately detecting drop of performance of an exhaust gas sensor. SOLUTION: This deterioration detection device for the exhaust gas sensor includes a first heater resistance estimation means estimating resistance of a heater heating the exhaust gas sensor based on element resistance of the exhaust emission gas sensor, a heater resistance calculation means calculating resistance of the heater based on heater current of the heater, and a deterioration determination means determining whether the exhaust gas sensor deteriorates or not by comparing two resistances estimated by the first heater resistance estimation means and the heater resistance calculation means.
