PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack base which dispenses with large-scale length adjustment by rotating a handle, and contributes to shortening of a length adjusting time period. SOLUTION: The jack base 1 is formed of an internal pipe 3, an external pipe 4 having the internal pipe 3 loosely inserted therein, an annular body 5 with a handle, and a connection member 6 secured to an upper external surface of the external pipe 4. The internal pipe 3 has pin holes 3a formed therein at suitable intervals while the external pipe 4 has a slot 4a formed therein, and then a pin 7 is inserted into the pin hole 3a and the slot 4a. The external pipe 4 allows the annular body 5 with the handle to be screwed to a male screw 4b formed on the external surface thereof, and has a lower surface thereof abutted on the pin 7, to thereby engage with the internal pipe 3. The connection member 6 holds a lower peripheral surface of a pipe body 11 abutting on a top 4c of the external pipe 4. The internal pipe 3 has an external diameter that is insertable into the pipe body 11, and when load of the pipe body 11 is not applied to the external pipe 4, the pin 7 is drawable from the pipes, which leads to housing of the internal pipe 3 in the pipe body 11.
