PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the slip properties of a washing, when the washing is carried out by hand at home, to provide a method of washing, by which unpleasant factors such as (roughness) or (creaking) and physical feebleness can be reduced and hands and washings are cared, to provide a detergent composition for realizing the same, and to provide an agent for improving the slip properties. SOLUTION: This method for improving the slip properties of a washing in a washing liquid, which comprises causing an organic polymer having stringiness to be present in the washing liquid during washing. The washing liquid contains an organic polymer having stringiness and exhibits stringiness. A method of washing by hand which comprises the step of hand-washing a washing with a washing liquid obtained by diluting that washing liquid with water to more than a 1-fold to 1, 000-fold amount.
