PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid capable of protecting a surface of a deposit layer, by applying the liquid itself to the surface of the deposit layer formed out of an inorganic oxide deposited on a base material, capable of excellently preventing deterioration in gas barrier properties, excellent in reproductivity of a tone of a printing ink and adhesion to the ink, when used in printing, and further excellent in laminate bond strength, when laminated with another plastic film. SOLUTION: This coating liquid contains a film-forming material in an organic solvent, wherein the film-forming material contains 5-100 mass% of one, two, or more kinds selected from polyester resins (a), (b), and (c) of which the each has a specified weight-average molecular weight, acid value, and glass transition temperature.
