PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic metal plate for high frequency/magnetic induction heating actualizing the heating by a high frequency heating device capable of slowly heating a food material over sufficient time as well as the heating by an electromagnetic induction heating device despite the dimension of a vessel and a heating body, and also to provide a cooking method using the magnetic metal plate. SOLUTION: This magnetic metal plate 40' formed of a ferromagnetic body into a disk having a plurality of holes 41 in its side face is used for heating by both of the high frequency heating device and the electromagnetic induction heating device. Parts of microwaves output from the high frequency heating device are reflected by the magnetic metal plates 40 and 40' and the rest is irradiated with microwaves from the holes 41. Thus, the food material or the like can be slowly and moderately heated and cooked. The magnetic field output from the electromagnetic induction heating device by the operation of ferromagnetism is distorted so as to heat the food material even in a range where magnetic field by a regular electromagnetic induction heating device cannot reach and the device is unusable.
