The weighing system has a base (1) with a parallel load receiving part. At least one transfer lever (2) is pivotally mounted to the base by a cross spring hinge (3). A coupling element connects the load receiving part with the short leg of the lever (2). The spring hinge, at least part of the lever and at least part of the base are formed monolithically from a block. The spring hinge is formed from parallel horizontal bores (31,32,33,34) arranged in a ring such that a thin bridge remains between adjacent bores and which is separated from the rest of the block by further slits.
