A construction for fixing a child seat (14) inside a vehicle having a seat (1) which is adjustable in the forward and rear direction on the vehicle floor (5). This construction allows fixing of the child seat (14) to the vehicle seat (1) only when the vehicle seat is located at its rear position. The construction includes a fixed portion (23) provided in the child seat (14) and a fixing portion (15) provided on the vehicle floor (5). The fixed portion of the child seat is connectable with the fixing portion on the floor only when the vehicle seat is located at its rear position. <IMAGE>
