<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent abuse of electronic money by a third party when a portable terminal device having an electronic money function is used. <P>SOLUTION: A user of a cell phone 2 photographs himself and transmits a password to an authentication server 3. If the authentication server 3 permits the authentication, the cell phone 2 stores an image of the user in a memory usable only by an authentication application. At shopping, when the authentication application detects a charging device 4, an image is read from the memory and is displayed, and an indicator is lighted up.
