PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watthour meter with a communication function, capable of surely fixing a communication cable to a terminal block without making it large-sized, and easily switching kinds of signals to be transmitted and received. SOLUTION: The wattmeter comprises: an electric power measuring unit 3 which is connected between an external electric power supply and a load and measures consumption electric energy of the load; a switch unit 4 which opens/closes between the electric power measuring unit and the load: a communication unit 5 for transmitting/receiving a signal which includes data corresponding to measured power, to/from a central device via the communication cable 6; and the terminal block 7 which is connected to the electric power supply and the load. A first connector 8 making up a connection section which can be attached to/detached from respective units, is disposed at one end of the communication cable, and a second connector 9 which fixes the communication cable to the terminal block, is disposed at its middle section, and the terminal block is equipped with a through hole 7c through which the first connector can pass, and a connector holding section 7d which is disposed near the aperture of the through hole and engages/holds the second connector.
