PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize color transformation processing in a desirable color reproduction without depending on the characteristic of an input device. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes a characteristic information description means for describing the color reproduction characteristic in the standard photographing conditions of an image photographing apparatus which photoes an object and transforms into an input color signal to the attachment information on the object photographing image data, an input signal correction means for performing the color correction processing to the input color signal so that it may become an object duplication in standard photographing conditions based on the photographing conditions information, a transform processing means for transforming the color corrected input signal to an output color signal, an analyzing means for analyzing the property of the image photographing apparatus in response to the color reproduction characteristic information attached to the above object photographing image data, a color correction parameter creation means for creating the parameter which performs the color correction processing of the output color signal in response to the analyzed characteristic of the image photographing apparatus, and an output color correction processing means for rectifying the output color using the color correction parameter by which the creation is performed.
