PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new tripeptide having angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory action, and to provide a new angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor containing the tripeptide as an active ingredient and having extremely low toxicity and extremely high safety. SOLUTION: This new tripeptide has a peptide structure comprising an L-type amino acid sequence expressed by formula: Leu-Ala-Tyr. The angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor contains the tripeptide as the active ingredient.
