PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing transfer device that prevents a packed object from losing its position or falling over when transferring from a conveyer to the position where it is packed. SOLUTION: The transfer device 3 includes a holding member 4 capable of holding a packed object P and capable of releasing the hold, and a drive mechanism 5 moving the holding member 4 horizontally and turning it around an axis perpendicular to a horizontal plane. The moving track C of the holding member moved by the drive mechanism is such that, in a transfer process after the packed object is held, the holding member reaches a second position Y after it is transferred from a first position to a straight area C2 via a curved area C1; and, in a return process after the hold is released, the holding member returns to the first position from the second position. The area where the holding member is moved from the curved area to the first position in the transfer process includes a lifting component, and the straight area extends downward.
