PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having better light-emitting efficiency and color purity characteristics than those of cases using conventional blue light-emitting compounds. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent element is 3,3'-bisä10-[4-(2-ethyl-hexyloxy)phenyl]-phenoxazine}, 3,3'-bisä10-[4-(2-ethyl-hexyloxy)phenyl]-phenothiazine}, or the like.
