A network node for use in an IP network to execute multiple processes on network routable data comprises a user terminal (1), which provides data to be routed to a receveir (4). The data is sent to a sender side node (2) that includes a plurality of processing modules (26-29) and a controller (25) to direct the data to the processing modules a plurality of times selectively whereby to perform sequential multiple processing thereof. The processed data is transmitted through the network to a node (3) that performs inverse multiple processing and passes the resulting data to a receiver (4).
