<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To destroy the content in the memory of a memory module with a radio function after the module has been used. <P>SOLUTION: A radio tag IC 20 includes a transmission/reception block 22; a CPU 24; a data memory block 26 for storing ID data; a readable period storage part 28 for storing a period during which the content of a data memory can be read; and a destruction circuit 30 that destroys at least a portion of the data memory block 26 under the instruction of the CPU 24. Each data memory 40 includes a bit memory part 42 for retaining the ID data, a fuse part 44 connected in series with the bit memory part 42, and a switch part 46 arranged in parallel with the fuse part 44. If the CPU 24 determines that the readable period has elapsed, all the fuse parts 44 are destroyed so that the data stored is not readable.
