<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the characteristic evaluation of a fuel cell by newly focusing attention on a correspondence relationship between a battery characteristic and a heat conduction characteristic of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: For each constituent member such as a unit cell 20 constituting the fuel cell, and an MEA 21 and a gas diffusion member 33 constituting the unit cell 20, a thermal diffusion factor is measured in a battery manufacturing process. In the measurement, by sensing, by a sensing probe 214, the propagation of heat having generated periodical heat generation (t) at an angular frequency ω by a heating probe 212. The battery characteristic of the unit cell 20 is evaluated by comparing the measured thermal diffusion factor of the unit cell 20 with a heat conduction/battery characteristic correspondence map of the heat conduction characteristic of the unit cell 20 and the battery characteristic of the unit cell 20 stored in a storage part 224. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
