<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition having high storage stability and discharge stability, capable of giving a high density to a picture image on regular paper, reclaimed paper, etc., without forming blurs, unevenness in shades, nor striking-through, and excellent glossiness thereto on a glossy medium, without forming the blurs nor the unevenness in the shades, and therefore suitable as an inkjet recording ink. <P>SOLUTION: This aqueous ink composition contains a coloring component, an acetylene glycol-based surfactant, water, and a urea derivative, wherein the coloring component comprises a dispersion in which a colorant is enclosed in a dispersion polymer, so as to be dispersible in the water, and the dispersion polymer is composed of a hydrophobic part and a hydrophilic part so that at least a portion of the hydrophilic part comprises neutralized groups obtained by neutralizing unneutralized groups which are a portion of the hydrophobic part and an amount of the neutralized groups existing therein is in a range of not less than 20% and less than 60% as a mol ratio of the neutralized groups to a sum of the unneutralized groups and the neutralized groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
