<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by selectively stopping one amplifying circuit of an amplification section equipped with at least two amplifying circuit from operating. <P>SOLUTION: An amplifying device for community reception comprises the amplification section 20 which is equipped with the two amplifying circuits 22 and 26 for the VHF band and UHF band and is configured to mix and output output signals of the amplifying circuits through one coaxial cable, and a power source section 30 which is installed nearby a terminal device and supplies electric power to the amplification section 20 from the terminal side through a transmission line, and the power source section outputs a power supply signal to the amplification section side selectively as it is or after superposing a pulse signal on the power supply signal. The amplification section decides whether the designated pulse signal is superposed on the power supply signal sent from the power source section and is switched based upon the decision result to selectively supply electric power to the amplifying circuits for the VHF band and UHF band or stop supplying the electric power to the amplifying circuit for the VHF band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
