<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component transfer device which reliably detaches an electronic component from a suction nozzle while reducing the intensity of an air blow, and also to provide a surface mounting machine having the component transfer device. <P>SOLUTION: The component transfer device is arranged so that a head unit having a suction nozzle mounted thereon is provided to move on an XY plane, and that an electronic component sucked on by the suction nozzle with negative pressure is detached at a target position by an air blow from the suction nozzle. The component transfer device comprises: a Z axis servo motor 22 for vibrating the suction nozzle relative to the head unit; and a controller 35 for controlling the drive of the Z axis driving mechanism so as to vibrate the suction nozzle when it detaches the electronic component therefrom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
