<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary door equipped with a safety device, which dampens the will of the user to run into the rotary door immediately before closure of a door panel, has no grip at a door front edge even if the user actually intends to put the hand on the front edge of the door panel, and is free from a fear of pinching of the user, to thereby contribute to prevention of accidents. <P>SOLUTION: Each door panel is mounted in the rotary door so as to be withdrawable in a direction opposite to a door rotary direction in a range from the front edge of the door panel in a door radial direction so as to pass a dangerous material therein, when the dangerous material makes contact with the door or extremely approaches to the same. Each door panel is formed like a partial cylinder having a quadric surface, by convexly curving the entire width of the door panel or at least 1/4 the entire width from the front edge, and the front end area of each door panel is smoothly curved to an extent that is almost the same as the circumference of the rotary door in the rotary direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
