PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an electric power steering device capable of facilitating tuning by conducting signal processing for the road surface information, turbulence, etc. in the high-frequency region and of establishing a safe and comfortable steering performance through suppression of braking judder and a shimmy. SOLUTION: The control device of the electric power steering device is arranged to control a motor on the basis of the current command value calculated from the steering assist command value obtained from the steering torque generated on a steering shaft and the current sensed value of the motor to give a steering assist force to a steering mechanism having a rack bar, wherein the arrangement includes a reaction force sensing means to presume or measure the reaction force fed to the rack bar and a turbulence band extracting means to extract the frequency band of the turbulent which is to be removed from the reaction force, whereby the value extracted by the extracting means is added to the steering assist command value.
