PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which can photograph a desired photographic range while confirming the whole actual visual field and is equipped with a light emitting means, and by which a user can take a picture with his or her desired right or left hand. SOLUTION: The digital camera 10 which converts digital data of an image picked up by an imaging means through a photographic optical system having a photographic lens 13 into image information and stores and saves the image information in a storage medium has an image display section 20 which displays an image-frame electronic image defining an image frame corresponding to an imaging range within which an image can be picked up by the imaging means, a combiner 30 which reflects light from the image display section 209 and transmits light from the actual visual field in the gaze direction of the photographer, a primary body 11 where the image display section 20 and combiner 30 are fitted, a couple of stroboscopes 41L and 41R arranged on both sides of the photographic lens 13, and a couple of imaging operation sections arranged at nearly symmetrical positions of the primary body 11.
