<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a seek time reducing noise by utilizing effectively drive force of an actuator in seek control of a head of a rotation recording and reproducing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When a microprocessor generates a control signal of a drive current given to an actuator for head seek, a signal generator 91 generates the prescribed acceleration causing the tolerable maximum acceleration at the time of acceleration of the actuator, generates the prescribed deceleration signal giving the tolerable maximum deceleration at the time of deceleration, and generates a settling signal of a zero level at the time of settling. Switching from deceleration to settling is made a point of time at which the microprocessor calculates as a time of start of settling, since it can reach a target position in the shortest time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
