PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyethylene-based flame-retardant resin foam having sufficient flame retardancy, etc., to provide a tubular thermal insulation material having sufficient thermal insulation and excellent in thermal insulation, etc., and to provide a thermal insulation piping using the tubular thermal insulation material. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyethylene-based flame-retardant resin foam comprises feeding a foaming agent to a kneaded product comprising a polyethylene-based resin and an organic flame retardant followed by extrusion molding to effect expansion, wherein there is a specific correlation between the melting peak(RTm) of the polyethylene-based resin and the upper limit(ATm) of the melting range of the organic flame retardant, each determined by differential thermal analysis. The tubular thermal insulation material 51 is composed of a tubular foam 51 and a laminated sheet 52 consisting of a polyethylene-based foamed layer 521 and a polyethylene-based resin layer 522 and covered with the tubular foam. The thermal insulation piping P is composed of a copper piping 6 for air conditioning equipment and a tubular thermal insulation material 5 cladded on the copper piping. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
