PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open and close an adjusting hole by simply holding an opening and closing cover of the adjusting hole without falling out. SOLUTION: A needle bar rod is connected to a rotatable crank in a vertically movable state, and a needle bar holder is connected to the needle bar rod. Moreover, a needle bar is fixed to the needle bar holder through a fixing screw, and the adjusting hole 12a is formed at a head cover 12 opposing the fixing screw for fixing the needle bar. Then, an opening and closing cover 16 of the adjusting hole 12a is provided rotatably at the head cover 12. Consequently, the adjusting hole 12a can be opened and closed by rotating the opening and closing cover 16 around a pivotally supporting part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
