PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for fishing rod that is handed over between the anglers, when they change from the ground to the fishing boat or to the fishing site, as the passing angler holds the upper end of the shoulder belt so that the receiving angler may readily catch the rod case. SOLUTION: The case for fishing rod 1 is equipped with a shoulder belt 3 in the longitudinal direction on the front side of the cylinder part 2a of the main body 2 of the rod case where the shoulder belt 3 is composed of the lower belt 6 and the upper belt 7 made of natural fiber fabric or synthetic resin fibers such as nylon, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene or the like. The bottom part of the lower belt 6 is fixed to the cylinder part 2a by sewing, while the upper belt 7 is folded at the upper end 7a and fixed to the cylinder part. Simultaneously, a through-hole 7d is formed in the longitudinal direction on the top edge side 7a thereby forming the cleaved parts 7c and 7d.
