An information recording device and an information reproducing device, by which information maintenance performance can be improved compared with a case where information is recorded only in a recording medium, information recording device or an information reproducing device. The information recording device and the information reproducing device are provided with an information recording/reproducing device (2) for recording and/or reproducing information in/from an optical disc (OD); and a RFID tag (3) provided on the optical disc (OD) in/from which the information is recorded and/or reproduced. The RFID tag (3) stores recording medium information for recording and/or reproducing information in/from the optical disc (OD), and the information recording/reproducing device (2) writes recording medium information in the RFID tag (3).
