<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an increase of the initialization time and an increase of load due to generation of correction data every time of initialization operation. <P>SOLUTION: The rotating body driving device is equipped with detectors to be detected which are arranged in a plurality in an annular form coaxially on a rotary plate, a reference detector to be detected indicating a reference position, a detector for detecting these detectors, and a control means for setting a first section having the two detectors to be detected among the plurality of the detectors to be detected at both ends and a second section having the detectors to be detected on the both ends and having at least one end different from the first section, detecting the pass time when the first section and the second section pass a detecting unit at the time of rotation of the rotary plate, controlling the rotation of a motor so as to reduce the fluctuation in the rotation period by generating the amplitude and phase of the fluctuation in the rotation period relating to the desired period of the rotating body based on the detected pass time, and controlling the rotation of the motor so as to reduce the fluctuation in the rotation period, and calculating the correction data up to the detecting means from the reference position for reducing the fluctuation in the rotation period, and a memory means for storing the correction data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
