<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a environment-friendly method of manufacturing a color filter with high reproducibility at a low cost in large quantity without generating a development waste liquid. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the color filter by a printing method, a planographic printing original plate having a property in which the affinity to an ink is changed by the energy irradiation is used. The method of manufacturing the color filter has steps of: (1) forming the planographic printing plate on which an pixel wise image corresponding to a light shielding pattern and/or red, green and blue of the filter is plotted by irradiating the planographic printing original plate having the property that the affinity to the ink is changed by the energy irradiation with energy; (2) mounting the resultant planographic printing plate on a planographic offset printing machine; and (3) supplying dampening water and the ink to the printing plate and after that making, printing on a substrate to be printed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
