PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester laminating film excellent in adhesion with a metal plate and molding processibility and having excellent whitening resistance, to provide film-laminated metal plates, and to provide metal containers. SOLUTION: The polyester film for laminating metal plate is a biaxially oriented polyester film which comprises a polyester composition having 220-250°C melting point and composed mainly of a copolyester comprising ethylene terephthalate component and ethylene isophthalate component and, has <1.385 g/cm<SP>3</SP>density and <0.130 plane orientation coefficient, wherein the polyester composition comprises, based on whole acid components of the polyester composition, 2-20 mol% polyoxyalkylene glycol component having≥3 recurring units of a≥2C alkylene oxide unit as the≥2C alkylene oxide unit derived from the polyoxyalkylene glycol component, and contains 0.05-1.0 wt.% inert particles, 0.01-0.15 wt.% wax and 0.01-1.0 wt.% antioxidant.
