PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector having a wide projection range where a video is projected and projecting the video to a desired place in the projection range, and a projector having a wide projection range, automatically detecting a screen arranged in the projection range and automatically adjusting a projected video so as to nearly agree with the detected screen. SOLUTION: The projection part 1 of the projector 100 projects the video in a direction inclined according to the projecting length of the support 4a of a foot part 4 from a main body part 50 at a position obtained by rotationally moving the main body part 50 centering a fixed leg 3 by the rotating leg 4b of the foot part 4. In the projector 100, a range including the projected video is image-picked up by a CCD 2, and imaging data is analyzed by a video analysis part, and then foot adjustment by the foot part 4, and zoom adjustment and lens shift by the projection part 1 are performed so that the position and the size of the projected video agree with the detected position and size of the screen.
