PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door guard which surely prevents the inconvenience of bringing a person into the state of being locked out, because a misoperation of a guard arm is caused by a shock in the opening/closing of a door and the like, and which has a sub-lock function. SOLUTION: The guard arm 2 is mounted in such a manner as to be slidable in the width direction of the door 1, and an opened part 9 is provided at the mounting base-side end of a guide groove provided in the guard arm 2. The guard arm 2 and a retainer member 4 are brought into an unengaged state when the guard arm 2 recedes in the direction of being separated from a door frame 3. A head part 46 of the retainer member 4 is inserted into the guide groove from the opened part 9 and engaged with the inside of the guide groove, when the guard arm 2 advances from the unengaged state. The sub-lock member 64, which locks or unlocks the oscillation of the mounting base end of the the guard arm 2 by an operation from the outside, is attached to the the mounting base end of the the guard arm 2.
