PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber distribution device by which a feeding amount of the fiber to a plurality of fiber opening devices is equalized and a method for distributing the fiber. SOLUTION: The fiber distribution device distributes and feeds the supplied fiber to the plurality of fiber opening devices. The fiber distribution device has a hollow enclosure and a rotor rotative in the inside of the enclosure. The enclosure has a fiber feeding port for feeding the fiber to the inside and two or more fiber discharge ports for discharging the fiber from the inside. The rotor has two or more blades having a sidewall inclined from the side end of a rotation shaft toward the inside wall direction of the enclosure.
