PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for hair excellent in conditioning effect of the hair, having low irritation and being mild to the hair and the scalp. SOLUTION: The composition for hair comprises (A) a biscation surfactant represented by general formula (1) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>6</SB>are each a straight-chain or branched 6-24C alkyl group, alkenyl group or hydroxyalkyl group; R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>, R<SB>4</SB>or R<SB>5</SB>are each a 1-3C alkyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group; X is a monovalent anion), (B) a higher alcohol and (C) an oily component.
