PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control cable protection device capable of suppressing damage of an elevator control cable and reducing contact sound. SOLUTION: In order to protect the control cable 3 suspendedly arranged in a shaft and extending to a car 1 of the elevator, the protection device for the elevator control cable is provided with a protection roller 6 provided on the car 1 of the elevator lifting in the shaft 2 and the protection roller 6 is rotated/driven by a driving means comprising a drive motor 7. Thereby, even when the control cable 3 is shaken, instant slipping is not generated in a gap with the protection roller 6, damage of the control cable 3 is reduced and the contact sound of the control cable 3 and the control cable protection device 5 is also suppressed.
