A laser module (100) is provided with an optical amplifier (1) for amplifying light; a first etalon (3) which transmits the light from the optical amplifier (1) and permits the light from the optical amplifier (1) to have periodic wavelength peaks; and a wavelength selection mirror (4) having a relatively high reflection intensity to a partial wavelengths in an effective gain band of the optical amplifier (1). Light is amplified by the optical amplifier (1), the light from the optical amplifier (1) is permitted to have the periodic wavelength peaks by the first etalon (3), and the partial wavelengths in the effective gain band are reflected by the wavelength selection mirror (4).
