The device has a housing with a casing including a funnel (7) at an end region (6) of the housing. A pipe (8) with a cross section smaller than cross section of the casing is attached to the funnel. The end region has an end section formed as a spherical layer and connected with the funnel. The funnel includes a connection section connected with the end region and formed as spherical layer with radius complementary to the end section. An independent claim is also included for a modular system for manufacturing a device for treating exhaust gas in an exhaust gas system.
