PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium wherein adhesion properties and lubricity are maintained even under a severe use condition and a lubricant effect is continued for a long time and which has excellent running properties, stability and durability and can exhibit stable lubricant characteristics over time. SOLUTION: The magnetic recording medium 10 is provided, wherein at least a magnetic layer 2 is formed on a non-magnetic support body 1 and a lubricant formed by mixing plurality compounds having specific chemical formulas is retained in the outermost layer.
