PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device, by which an arbitrary image is obtained by adjusting the amount of blurring of moving image blurring caused when a mobile object image is displayed, and to provide electronic equipment mounted with the same. SOLUTION: The image display device has a frame memory 604, an image processing circuit 602 which separates an image signal into red, green, and blue image signals, respectively and developing image signals of each color in the frame memory 604 and generating a plurality of frame images in time series; a moving image processing circuit 605 for detecting the shape, the moving direction, moving speed and gradation of the mobile object image, and gradation of a background image from the frame image generated in the frame memory 406; a correction circuit 606 for correcting an edge part on the side opposite to the moving direction of the mobile object image, on the basis of the shape, the moving direction, the moving speed and the gradation of the mobile object image detected by the moving image processing circuit 605, and the gradation of the background image; and display devices (liquid crystal panels) 410R, 410G, 410B, which display images corrected by the correction circuit 606.
