PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood coagulant excellent in blood coagulation accelerating effect and capable of coagulating blood in a short time. SOLUTION: The blood coagulant is constituted by heat-treating an inorganic mixture, which is composed of 100 pts.wt. of an adsorbent inorganic material and 0.001-5 pts.wt. of a metal oxide at 300-1,000°C.
