发明名称 FASTENING METHOD FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening method for an internal combustion engine which can rationally ensure the circularity of a cylinder bore. SOLUTION: A head portion of each head bolt 3 is pressed to compress a member 4 to be fastened, and then a nut 8 is temporarily screwed to each head bolt 3 under such a condition that the fastened member 4 is compressed. By releasing the compression of the fastened member 4 in the above state, the axial force is applied to each head bolt 3 so as to fasten the fastened member 4. Accordingly, there is no influence of difference in coefficient of friction of each head bolt 3, each nut 8 and the fastened member 4, so that the fastening axial force stably acts on each head bolt 3 so as to prevent deformation of the fastened member 4, thereby ensuring the circularity of each cylinder bore. Further, since it is unnecessary to strictly control the tightening torque of each head bolt 3, manufacturing process and control of quality are rationalized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
